I am an eighteen year old freelance photographer living near Seattle, Washington.

Here's my philosophy on portraits:

The best pictures often contain traces of candid moments. They are crucial split-second moments captured on film that show a person's true beauty and personality. The best pictures don't feel forced or unnatural; they come quite easily.
This is something that I find rarely exists in the portfolios of professional portrait companies. Why? Several reasons. First and foremost is the fact that you are having photos taken by a complete stranger who knows absolutely nothing about you, your personality or your preferences.
Secondly, portrait companies have a distinct style - overly retouched skin, unnatural studio lighting, the standard array of poses. Portraiture is so much more complex; there are so many styles to be utilized, and I'm sure you have a personal preference. And I'd love to hear all about it.
Furthermore, I charge $100 per typical portrait session. The big guys are anywhere from $300-$1,000. Check below for my pricing and what I offer - I think you'll like it.
The largest difference, however, is this: portrait companies view you as a slot. You booked the appointment, and you have a limited slot of time to get this done. They want to get the job done, get the money, and get out. It doesn't matter how great they say their customer service is, the bottom line is that they are companies. I am just a girl who loves photography and is trying to pay for college. I want to take the time to make you feel comfortable and understand what you want out of your senior portrait experience. That's why my portrait sessions have no time constraints. I'm more about making sure you get portraits that we are both proud of, rather than just making an extra buck. We're going to keep going until we get pictures that you are happy with. And that's that.

Reduced Package - $85
Includes:
-Unlimited time for portrait session
-As many outfits and poses as you like
-A CD of retouched/edited photos

Please note: Typical portrait sessions will be outside in natural light, but studio shots can be worked out as well. Depending on circumstances, they may incur an extra charge.
